Greece: standard shipping €5 below €80, free from €80 after discounts. Express €14. Remote areas may take longer. Prescription lenses are made specifically for your child, so different return conditions may apply.

How do I find the right size for my child?

To assist you in your selection, each product includes the exact frame dimensions.

Ages are indicative. Each child has different facial features. If the child already wears glasses that fit correctly, you can send us a photo or the dimensions of the existing frame, and we will help you choose the appropriate size.

Should I choose a metal or plastic frame?

Both options can be great for a child. Metal frames are usually lighter and often feature nose pads for a better fit. Acetate frames are typically more durable for everyday use and come in more colors and designs. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help you choose.

Should I choose glasses with nose pads or without?

Nose pads allow for a more customized fit and can help when glasses slip. Frames without nose pads usually have fewer parts and are a very practical solution for daily children's use. The best choice depends on the child's face and needs.

I'm not sure which lens to choose. What can I do?

Don't worry. You can choose the lens you deem suitable and upload your child's prescription. Our team will check the prescription before proceeding with manufacturing and will contact you if a different or better option is needed.

Which lenses does my child need?

The right choice depends on the recipe, the child's age, and their daily activities. Most parents choose lenses with an anti-reflective coating, UV protection, hardening for greater scratch resistance, and highly durable materials suitable for children.

Does my child need a thinner lens?

Not always. For low prescriptions, a standard lens is usually perfectly adequate. For higher myopia or hyperopia, a thinner lens can offer reduced thickness, less weight, better aesthetic appearance, and greater comfort. If we believe that a thinner lens would offer a significant advantage, we will contact you before production begins.

Do you check the prescription before the glasses are made?

Yes. Every prescription is checked by specialized staff before the lenses are manufactured. We examine the correct entry of the degrees, the suitability of the frame and if there is a better lens choice for the child's needs.

What if there's a better lens option for my child?

If we determine that a different lens would offer significant advantages, such as reduced thickness, lighter weight, increased durability, or better aesthetics, we will contact you before production begins. We do not make any changes without your approval.

Can I use a prescription from an insurance fund?

Yes. We cater to social security fund prescriptions. If you have an electronic prescription, please contact us at info@kidoptic.gr before completing your order so we can guide you through the process and required documents.

Can I upload my prescription later?

Yes. If you do not have your prescription available at the time of ordering, you can contact us to guide you on how to send it. The production of the glasses will begin once we receive and check the prescription.

Can I send a photo of the prescription from my phone?

Yes. You can upload a photo or a scanned copy of your prescription. If the image is unreadable, we will contact you before proceeding with the order.

What happens if the prescription I uploaded is unreadable or incorrect?

In this case, we do not proceed with construction. Our team will contact you to confirm the details or request a new recipe.

What if I don’t know my child’s pupillary distance or other technical measurements?

Don't worry. If any information is missing or additional measurements are required, our team will contact you and guide you step-by-step.

How long does manufacturing and shipping take?

Simple prescription: preparation in 2 business days, delivery usually in about 5 business days in total. High prescriptions / custom lenses: preparation 5–10 business days and about 2 more for shipping. Times begin after confirmation of prescription, measurements, and availability.

For frames without lenses, we confirm availability and shipping time before ordering.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for orders over 80€ throughout Greece.

What if my child doesn't easily adjust to new glasses?

Adjusting to new glasses usually takes a few days. If you still experience difficulty after the adjustment period, please contact us so we can review the prescription and lens manufacturing together.

What happens if the glasses break or get damaged?

Children are active, and accidents happen. In cooperation with The Optical Center, we have a specialized repair department that can fix most damage to frames and glasses. In most cases, repair costs significantly less than buying new frames.

Do you offer a glasses repair service?

Can I order just frames without lenses?

Yes. For selected products, it is possible to purchase only the frame, without prescription lenses.

Can I buy a second pair of glasses with the same prescription?

Of course. If we already have your prescription or if you send it to us again, we can make a second pair of glasses.

Are there real opticians behind KidOptic?

Yes. KidOptic operates in collaboration with The Optical Center, a family-owned optical business with two physical stores in Athens. Behind every pair of children's glasses is a real check by an optician.

Can I return or exchange an item?

For products not made to a customised prescription, changes or returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt, provided they are in their original condition and have not been used. Changes and returns can also be made at The Optical Center physical stores.

Can I return prescription glasses?

Prescription glasses with customized lenses are made specifically for each customer and are non-returnable, unless there is a manufacturing defect or an error in order fulfillment.

What if I receive a faulty product?

If you receive a product with a manufacturing defect or a problem not caused by use, please contact us immediately so we can proceed with replacement or repair of the problem.
